Humphrey is my most recent pet portrait. He is our nephew’s cockapoo. Adorable dog, lots of energy and fun! He was fun to paint with all that curly fluffy fur and floppy ears.

This portrait of Rocko was done as a Christmas gift for our daughter-in-law’s sister. It’s such a privilege to be able to create a painting that will preserve a memory for someone who has lost a pet. Pets are such a huge part of our lives and they leave a big hole in our hearts when they are gone.
I used a shiny pearl white paint for the background on this one. It gives a very cool effect, but is hard to photograph.
