Now that my book is done I have not just been resting on my laurels ;) I have been busy with pet portrait commissions, both in paint and felt, and lots of Christmas gifts.
The felted cutie above is Lua and she’s a Christmas gift for Lua’s owner.
“What the…??” Lua meets herself!
This is Lola, a commission I did as part of a fundraiser for the Rüdiger Foundation, a non-profit in Nevada City that provides K9 resources to local police. https://rufk9.org/who-we-are
Lola’s owner then wanted me to paint her daughter’s two dogs as a Christmas gift and here they are. I’ve been so busy with the book making that it’s been a long time since I painted anything other than backgrounds for my story. It was fun picking up a brush again!
I felted a couple of reindeer for some “dear” friends!
I felted a Raccoon as an addition to my “Woodland Carol Singers’ group. He’s not singing, he’s running off with the Figgy Pudding of course, so I used this image for my Christmas card!
Here he is with the carol singers.
Here’s a cute chipmunk I felted as a Christmas gift.
Here are some Caroling Birdies I felted as a Christmas gift for my daughter.
Everyone seems happy with their gifts!
A lot of felties got made, a couple of paintings got painted and now I’m enjoying a well earned break and will come back to it all with renewed enthusiasm in the New Year.
