Well, what a huge learning experience my story is turning into! Having built my cabin/cave for Nieva and her grandmother, I spent happy hours taking photos to illustrate my story. It’s quite a challenge to make a scene interesting and I am realizing I need to work on introducing drama in my scenes. I’m having fun learning how to pose my figures and find the best way to photograph them.

Nieva begins her journey at the end of winter so I needed a snowy landscape as a backdrop. I created this using oil pastels.
What I really like about this whole project is that I can use so many different skills.
