Seasons Greetings to you all.
We haven’t even had a frost here yet, but I’m hoping for a little seasonal snow at some point - or a some more rain at the very least. To get into the Christmas mood here is a snowman I needle felted. He is one of two I created to give to very dear friends. I photographed him down by the lake, along with Serac, my reindeer. Snowmen are fun to make. They do not require an armature so they’re relatively quick to make. I still have tons of long pine needles to use up so a few went to make little snowmen brooms. My husband found me knitting the other day and asked what I was making. “Scarves for snowmen” was my answer, to which he rolled his eyeballs as usual and replied “Of course you are. I don’t know why I asked!”
I always like to make my own Christmas cards, and some gifts, so that makes this time of year my busiest. I should start making in June really, but hey who is that organized? Certainly not me! I did get my cards made by Thanksgiving this year, and mailed them all before the end of November - that was a first! All this work of course means that my story has been on temporary hiatus. Prior to Thanksgiving I did create a big watercolor painting of a dawn sky for one of the story scenes, and the photo above is what I used it for.
There will be more to follow as time allows. Watch this space!
