A recent trip to Reno gave me an opportunity to create some sketches of fall color. The Aspen trees were just gorgeous and the whole area around Reno was ablaze with color. These are oil pastel sketches which I intend to use as the basis for some larger acrylic paintings.

This last sketch is from a visit to Donner Lake. Not exactly fall colors, but the light on the water and trees was lovely and I think it will make a good painting.
